Adults

When the adults come in
Then everything is strange,
They cannot play the way we do
They have to rearrange.
They tell me not to run that way
They say Eve should brush her hair
They say that we should move something
Because they don't want it there.
They never really understand
What our games are about,
They never know the difference
Between a good scream and a shout.
When the adults take control
Then they all go on and on,
And suddenly we look and see
That all the fun is

Gone

My Flying Machines.

My flying machine is sixty-foot high
It's made of bats' wings
And an old fish's eye.
It's got levers and brakes
And it's faster than cars,
It's been all round the world
Now we're flying to Mars.
Oh wont' you come with me
And we'll both fly away,
And we'll come back tomorrow
Or at least the next day.
I've got my supplies
I've got food and some drink,
Where shall we go next
What do you think?
